Mission Critical Focus

Student-Centred Learning Environment
The school adopts a student-centred approach to teaching and aims to help the students develop a positive learning attitude. Lessons are designed to allow them to participate more actively while the teachers facilitate and provide the necessary support. The lessons cater to the student’s learning needs and preferred learning style. Students find themselves involved in interesting and engaging activities in and outside the classroom.

Value-added Results
We are going all out for value-added results. For all graduating classes, there are extended curriculum hours, structured remedial slots and intensive peer tutoring.

A conducive environment is also provided for the students to study in the afternoon. Termly awards and motivated talks are also given to encourage tem to excel in their studies.

Values Education and Character Development
Values is what makes a man. In Punggol Secondary School, our students are imbued with values such as responsibility and respect. The school has the School Family Education (SFE) Programme funded by MCYS and its own Values Education Programmes.

Innovation and Resilience
Punggol Secondary believes in giving space to our students to develop passion for what they do, and in realising their unique talents and abilities.

The School exposes our young to new experiences, to help them face up to difficulties, persevere and overcome challenges through innovative programmes and CCAs.

Partnership with Parents and Community
To develop our students to their fullest potential, the school required strong collaboration with their parents. Our Parent Support Group, Punggol Partners’ Day and various “Meet-the-Parents” are avenues to foster a win-win partnership with our students’ parents.

Punggol Secondary also works closely with the community to create a conducive learning environment for our students.
