5) Subject Based Banding and Progression to Sec 2
Find out if your child qualifies for Subject Based Banding and how to respond to any offer by 27 December 2024.
Subject Based Banding (SBB)
Students who do well for subjects such as English Language, Mother Tongue Languages, Mathematics and/or Science at the PSLE may be offered to take the subject(s) at a more demanding level if they meet the eligibility criteria based on PSLE grades.

Parents will be notified via Parents Gateway if their child/ward is offered any SBB subject(s). Please respond on Parents Gateway by clicking ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ for SBB Offer via PG by 27 December 2024,12pm.

Progression To Secondary 2
To help ease the transition of students from primary to secondary school and provide time for them to adjust to the secondary school curriculum, there is no academic requirement for Secondary One students to progress to Secondary Two.
